He writes poems and short stories. James F Carnduff is a retired businessman. He is currently writing memoirs of his National Service. He also writes poetry and children's stories. G.I. Campbell writes poetry. Jim Carruth works in local government. He is a poet, recently winning an award at the Edinburgh Festival. In 2004 he published his first poetry collection Bovine Pastoral. His second collection High Auchensale was published in 2006. He was recently published in The Herald. George Colkitto writes poetry. John Coughlan is a retired fireman and former soldier and is writing a series of short stories which revolve around Army life. Scott Creighton runs his own computer business. He has published a black comic novel entitled Something Went Bump (Lulu £7.99). He also writes short stories. He has recently completed a screenplay. Brian Hannan runs his own business. He has started writing poems after completing a novel called Kisser Fisher. Some of his poems have been published in Cutting Teeth literary magazine. Jack Hastie is retired. He writes poetry as well as stories for children. He has recently published a poetry pamphlet Flickering Images (with Betty McKellar) and a book for children called Merlin Trails. Both are published by Ludovic Press. Ian Hunter works in local government. He writes novels, short stories, and poetry in a variety of genres. He has published three novels for children - The Dark Knight's Blade (Ludovic £4.99), Lipstick Lass (Ludovic Press, £4.99) and The Magic Mousehole (Ludovic Press, £4.99) Eleanor Jane Jeffrey writes short stories. Bobby Lauder writes traditional poetry and an ongoing series of short stories featuring local life. Fiona Lindsay writes poetry and short stories. Betty McKellar is a former teacher. She writes poems, many in Scots, and has published two collections, most recently Widdershins. She recently broadcast on BBC Radio and collaborated with Jack Hastie to produce the poetry pamphlet Flickering Images. She came third in the 2005 McCash/Herald Poetry Prize. Lilias Michael is a retired music teacher. She has only recently begun writing. Since coming to the group, she has been inspired to complete her first novel - The Princess of Peace - set in 7th century China. Wullie Purcell is a facilities manager. He writes short stories for children and adults. Caro Ramsay runs her own business. She is writing a series of detective novels set in Glasgow, the first of which Absolution is being published by Penguin in June 2007.. Sarah Scott is a recent graduate. She writes modern horror and poetry. Carolyn Wyllie attends university. She has written an award-winning play and is now writing a novel set in the early 20th century. |
